TRADER, a cargo barge that exploded and sank off Little
Cayman in 1976. Two crewmen were killed in the gasoline
explosion that rocked the islands. |
Russian destroyer off the coast
of Cayman Brac. This ship was purchased from Cuba by the Cayman
government and intentionally sunk on September 16, 1996 to form
an artificial reef. The destroyer was renamed the M.V. Capt
Keith Tibbets. |

Part of the submarine theater
that sank in Aquarena Springs, San Marcos, Texas. The sub was
installed in 1951 and patrons watched mermaids and water shows
for many years. The sub sank accidentally in 1974 during
the dismantling and removal process when pumps could not keep up
with the incoming water. |
